Random Leaves

Leaves in this Category are called “random leaves” or “leaf types” because they are not the more pricey “premium” leaves that fall into other Categories. The exact leaf you will receive is randomly chosen by us.

There are three parts of the Bible to choose from: Old Testament (OT), New Testament (NT), or Apocrypha (AP), though some part(s) may not be available for certain Bibles. Until about 1650, after the Reformation (c.1500 – c.1650), the Apocrypha was still considered as much “biblical” as any other part of the Bible, and is officially included in every Bible during that era. The exclusion of the Apocrypha from bibles was, in fact, more of an editorial decision by Bible publishers than a doctrinal one. The Apocrypha was considered “biblical” by all the New Testament writers and the early Church Fathers, and is included in all Roman Catholic bibles to this day.

Random Leaves are in FINE or better condition (see FAQ), and may have light/minor soiling or light/minor creases or light/minor staining, but no loss of text or leaf. In general, there is always a balance between high-value leaves and its condition. Each selection will be set in an Archival Sleeve for preservation, plus a COA with signature and Historic Bibles gold seal.
