2 CORINTHIANS 4:13-8:12. “The Happy Exchange” (Eng. trans 5:16-21). Handwritten and illuminated in Paris, France at the Johannes Grusch Workshop, c.1240. On fine, thin, white vellum. Rubricated throughout, w. 4 scrolling initials in RED and BLUE. 6″ x 4″. EXCELLENT- condition. Repairs to small hole and side cut, lower margin. This leaf is a theological bombshell for those interested in Pauline theology and the doctrine of the atonement (that is, what happened between God and humanity to “forgive” sins and to usher in the new creation).
