ISAIAH 9:21-13:10. “The Peaceable Kingdom” (Ch 11). Manuscript on fine vellum, hand-written with fine penwork, and produced in Paris, c.1250. Travel-size: 6.0″ x 4.0″. Full margins and headings, with 4 RED & BLUE initials, numerals, and scrolling flourishes also in Red and Blue along each full column, on both sides. EXCELLENT condition, nicely penned (see pics). Manuscript contains important chapters from the earliest strata of Isaiah, likely preached c.735 BCE, proclaiming the coming king and a hoped-for Peaceable Kingdom open to all the Gentiles, making good on God’s promise in Gen 12:3, and for a brighter future that encompasses all creation.
