Medium sized 7.2″ x 4.8″, at the Johannes Grusch Atelier (Workshop). Wide margins. Rubricated throughout, w. 2 scrolling initials in fine blue and red pen; the all-important Chapter 42 is unadorned! EXCELLENT- condition; browning and light staining to the edges. Text holds the first of the four Servant Poems in Isaiah, which the Church ascribes to Jesus Christ as representative of Israel, to bring divine justice or righteousness to the world, in fulfillment of God’s promise to Abraham (Genesis 12:3, etc.).
