Description
ROMANS 3:19-7:21. “The Faithful-righteousness of God” [Eng trans 3:19-21a]. Medium-size manuscript, 8″ x 5.5″, handwritten and illuminated in England or possibly France, c.1325-c.1350; English Textualis (variant IV) based on extended use of ‘box’ a w. double bow a after e and abbrev i, short descender p and q, and Uncial d. Lack of ornamentation may indicate Iberian provenance. FINE+ condition; small chip to inner edge (see pics); doodle (“rerum”) to upper margin, recto. Full margins. Leaf contains central texts from Paul’s most important letter!
