ISAIAH 63:18-66:10 (approx). “God’s Great Promises” (64:4; 65:17; 65:25). Very Large manuscript. FRAMED. Produced and Illuminated on fine, creamy vellum, in Southern France, c.1300. Full headings and margins with extended scrolling. Manuscript: 13″ x 9″; Framed: 19″ x 14.5″. With three (3) scrolling initials in Red and Blue ink. In EXCELLENT- condition. Long crease to upper half; minor handling smudges; see pics. Because the manuscript is framed, the verso side cannot be seen; thus, the ending verse is approximate. COA on premium “gold leaf” paper w. gold seal. Please advise if you want the manuscript to be put in a large Bifold Portfolio instead of keeping it framed. A Bifold Portfolio will allow the verso side to be seen by simply flipping over the archival sleeve containing the manuscript. The current framing, however, was professionally done. A fine example of a “pulpit Bible” at the turn of the century. Text recounts the great promises of God in the New Creation — Isaiah’s final vision that presages the surprising resurrection of Jesus. For smaller manuscripts, see the “Trifold Portfolios” category.
