Only 104 copies of this Bible are recorded extant!!
Text includes several striking verses presaging Isaiah’s later and fuller proclamations of the New Heaven and the New Earth; see especially 11:2 and 6; and 12:2. William Blake likely based his well-known poems “The Tyger” and “The Lamb” (c.1793) on 11:6, where the tyger represents the inscrutable acts of God that defy human reason and the lamb represents Christ. For smaller incunabula leaves, see the several Biblia Sacra under “Bifold Portfolio”.
