Whittingham, 1560. Ref: Herbert 107. FINE Condition overall. Headlines slightly shaved at top edge; light to moderate soiling; minor repairs (see pics). Each leaf is individually protected in archival sleeves. Set includes a facsimile of the NT Title page, and a COA on premium “gold leaf” paper w. gold seal. This English edition of the whole bible is the FIRST to sport VERSES [the 1557 Geneva NT was the first partial bible to sport verses]. Plus, Romans is THE PREMIER LETTER in the New Testament. An exceedingly rare bible fragment, with 2 titles [the 1 Corinthians title is on the reverse side of Romans 15-16].
