ROMANS 1:1-17, Title, With: Acts 27:41-28:31 (end). “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ” (Rom 1:16). The Geneva Bible, SECOND EDITION, FIRST LARGE FOLIO EDITION (12.75″ x 8.75″). Printed in Geneva by John Bodley, 1562. General title 1562, NT title 1561. Reference: Herbert 116. This edition in folio format has the same text and notes as the 1560 First Edition. The 1560 edition was the earliest English Bible printed [both] in Roman type and with verse divisions.  FINE condition; moderate stains to upper and lower margins, w. some darker spots in the “Argument”; (see pics). Woodcut initial “P”. COA on premium “gold leaf” paper w. gold seal. Faults notwithstanding, this leaf is exceedingly rare! Title leaf to Paul’s most comprehensive epistle, plus the ending to Acts and Paul’s imprisonment in Rome.
