Includes a 12th century liturgical poem by R. Ephraim ben Jacob. EXCELLENT condition. Minor corner repairs. Leaves are set in a Special Multi-page Portfolio, book-like, so that both sides of each leaf can be seen at once. God’s “testing” of Abraham in the Akedah/Binding of Isaac is a central text for both Jews and Christians, addressing the questions: “Is God to be trusted?” and “How can God keep his promises when it looks utterly hopeless?” This leaf-set sets in a Super Portfolio, 15″ x 9.5″, opening like a book with several “pages” to view both sides of each leaf. Portfolio has linen cloth covers, silk moire linings and archival sleeves.
