MATTHEW 14:22-16:15. “Peter’s Confession”. Printed in Geneva by John Crispin, 1569. 2nd quarto ed., smaller than the 1560 first ed. but with all “essential parts” the same. 8.25″ x 5.4″. Reference: Herbert 130. [Three title dates were used in this identical edition: 1568, 1569, 1570; but for the sake of historical accuracy I have separated the 1568 leaves from the 1569 leaves, noting their title date.] Ruled-in-red. FINE condition. Light soiling (see pics). A rare date to find. After the 1568-70 edition, the next wasn’t until 1576, still a very desirable date. “Peter’s Confession” has historically been foundational for the Church.
