Publisher: Hieronymus Cock. Reference: New Hollstein 96 (Heemskerck). Image is unmounted on clean laid paper, 9.75″ x 8″; with full margins, 13.75″ x 10″ (with .4″ top margin). A very clean and sharp impression. Older remains of framing tape to top corners; reinforced top margin (unnoticable from front). A superior example of early Netherlandish engraving, the scene taken from 1 Samuel 17 (= I Re. 17).
