The 3rd edition of Luther’s Bible, nearly identical to the 1st edition of 1534. Reference: DM 4202. Two (2) woodcut initials. Size: 11.5″ x 7.75″. FINE condition; light soiling or stains (see pics). COA on premium “gold leaf” paper w. gold seal. Leaf and COA set in a large Bifold Portfolio. A nice example of a very early Luther Bible leaf, with a central leaf from Isaiah, depicting the Glory of God filling the Temple, and the Call of Isaiah, traditionally used at ordinations or mission sending.
