The 3rd edition of Luther’s Bible, nearly identical to the 1st edition of 1534. Reference: DM 4202. Two (2) woodcut initials. Size: 11.5″ x 7.75″. FINE condition; light soiling or stains (see pics). COA on premium “gold leaf” paper w. gold seal. Leaf and COA set in a large Bifold Portfolio. A nice example of a very early Luther Bible leaf, with a central leaf from Romans, comparing the “work” of Adam with the “work” of Christ (Rom 5:12-21). Also includes all of Ch 6, Paul’s theology of Baptism.
