GENESIS 27:15-29:35. “Jacob’s Ladder” (28:10-17). Size: 6.4″ x 5.0″, on very fine vellum. Handwritten and illuminated in Paris, c. 1250. With 2 illuminated capital initials, in Red and Blue, with scrolling pen-work along a single column. Rubricated throughout. EXCELLENT condition. Clean through-out, sharp ink; slightly shaved upper and lower margins to the headlines (see pics). COA on premium “gold leaf” paper. Text recounts God’s promise to Jacob, the central promise of God in the OT; see also Gen 12:3.
