Description
DEUTERONOMY 25:3-31:9. 2-leaf set. “A Wandering Aramian / Things Secret and Revealed”. Printed in London by Christopher Barker, 1576. Small folio, 10.25″ x 7.0″. First folio edition printed in England. Herbert 144b. FINE- condition overall, on fine linen rag. Some stains to first leaf (see pics of first and last page). Full headings and margins. Leaves include an important early “creed” at 26:5, the “Syrian” here being Jacob, per LXX, though the Hebrew reads “Aramian”. The “wandering Aramian” means an intentional journeying from one place to another (from Syria to Egypt, due to a famine). Leaf-set also includes critical understandings of God in 29:29 and 30:11. Leaf-set comes in a Bifold Portfolio. Premium COA is set in an Archival Booklet.
