M.DC.XXI). Quarto size: 8.5″ x 6.5″. Reference: Herbert 379. Full headlines and margins, except for 1 leaf (Ch 42-43) where upper margin is shaved. FINE condition overall; light smudges in some places; moderate spill/stain to final leaf (see pics). This 20 Leaf-set contains the complete Book of Isaiah, the ending to the Song of Solomon, and the titled beginning to Jeremiah. 20 continuous leaves, half being bound together in the original binding, the rest being loose. COA on “gold leaf” premium paper w. signature and gold seal. The Leaf-set sets in a black cloth, magnetically closed archival box for preservation, 11″ x 8.75″.
NOTE: Although the Isaiah text is complete, 19 of the 20 leaves come from a 1621 Bible and one leaf (Ch 42-43) comes from an interchangeable text 1613 Bible of the same size and text type (Gothic or Black Letter). All verses are continuous among all leaves and the Book is complete in its entirely.
