The Golden Thread – Greatest Promise

Did you know. . .
That the Bible contains many promises, but the greatest promise of all – which includes all others – is God’s promise to Abraham in Genesis 12:2-3, that God will make of Abraham a great nation and through him all the families of the earth will be blessed. This promise, or blessing, is replicated many times throughout the Bible culminating in the great promise declared in Revelation 21:3-5, that God himself will dwell among us and that death shall be no more because the former things have passed away. God will make all things new!
This great promise, like a golden thread, is woven throughout the Bible and is found explicitly in Exodus 6:6-8, Exodus 29:45, Leviticus 26:11-13, Isaiah 65:17, Jeremiah 11:4, Jeremiah 24:7, Jeremiah 31:31-34, Ezekiel 36:22-32, Ezekiel 37:26-28, Zechariah 8:8, and 2nd Corinthians 6:16. This is the promise, or blessing, that God through Christ brings for all the families of the earth. How God will bring this about, with finality, when we are hell-bent on destroying each other, is utterly unknown and unknowable. But the promise is distilled in the single command, “Behold, I make all things new!”” (Rev 21:5). Like the resurrection of Jesus, it will be nothing less than a new creation.
Mindful of these great promises, Historic Bibles & Engravings offers many Leaves and Manuscripts (400-800 years old) with these passages, and many more like them.
