ISAIAH 57:20-61:1. “God’s Own Righteousness”. Handwritten and illuminated in Paris France, c.1230-1240, on very fine vellum. 6.6″ x 4.3″. EXCELLENT condition; a few marginal notes. Text happily includes the famous “Arise, shine!” passage in Ch 60 that signaled Israel’s release from Exile, and the beginning of a famous “Servant of the Lord” passage at 61:1.
