GENESIS 1:1-2:11. “In the beginning, God . . .” (1:1). FIRST EDITION 59-line “She” variant (corrected), printed in 1611, but likely published 1611-1613, in London, by Robert Barker. Herbert 319A. This leaf is very slightly distinct from the 59-line 1611 “He” variant, being a printer’s “correction”, and distinct from the second 59-line folio in 1617. FINE condition w. 2 WOODCUT initials. Size: 16″ x 10.25″. Pin-hole to upper inner corner; inner margin a bit messy but intact; inner lower corner wrinkled; lower outer corner crease (see pics). COA on premium “gold leaf” paper w. signature and seal. This leaf is THE PREMIER LEAF in any bible, and a very rare find indeed. As far a King James Bible leaves go, this singular leaf is second only to the Genesis title leaf of the 1611 “He” variant! — I have never seen it offered before.
